I was fortunate to have found tHE ART of Grief a few months after my mother passed! I was taking care of her and didn’t think it was anywhere near that time for her… so sudden! I found her the morning of my birthday and at the time I was in a pretty disassociated state…

This group has become so important to me! Having a dedicated space monthly to channel my grief and to feel like I’m not alone has been vital to helping myself function on a daily basis. Without it, it felt like I was carrying 10,000 pounds. The grief would come out in inappropriate ways… lashing out … It helped me to release the pressure so that I could get back to participating in my life! It helped me stop disassociating! To actively participate in my grief.

Within the group I was able to hear other people’s experiences to know that I’m not alone in what I was struggling with. That there’s no timeline or time limit! As a group, we do a lot of exercises that help to channel and release stuck emotions… and also some exercises that help to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system so that I can calm down my fight or flight response and heal.

This group has helped so many people!

And I hope it can go on to help so many more.
